Authorities in Johnson City are investigating a shooting early Easter morning that sent several people to the hospital.

Few details are available but Village Police Chief Brett Dodge says the incident occurred on Crocker Avenue near Corliss Avenue at around 6:30 at an apartment house.

Johnson City Police, Broome County Sheriff's officials and the New York State Police were on the scene most of the day and authorities say the Broome County District Attorney's Office is also involved in the investigation.

There is no word on just how many people suffered injuries or the severity of those injuries.

The incident happened in a fairly quiet mixed residential neighborhood across from a former middle school that has housed apartments for several years after the district closed the building in 2004.
