A Johnson City man is accused of pushing his wife and step daughter to the ground threatening to kill them in a dispute at around 2:30 a.m. May 15.

40 year old Robert Ellsworth is charged with felony aggravated family violence and two counts each of criminal mischief and harassment.

Johnson City Police say the incident on Miriam Street began as a verbal dispute that turned physical with Ellsworth, at one time, accused of pushing his step daughter’s head into a window and throwing her phone to the ground when she tried to call police.

All three reportedly suffered scrapes and scratches that did not require medical attention.

Ellsworth was sent to the Broome County Jail.
