Most of John Fogerty's new album, 'Wrote a Song for Everyone,' finds the former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman looking back on his distinguished catalog. But he did make room for a couple of new songs -- and one of them, 'Mystic Highway,' now has its own video.

At six minutes and change, 'Mystic Highway' is the longest song on the new record; in fact, it's probably one of the heftier cuts that Fogerty's penned, which makes it a bit of an odd choice for the leadoff single from 'Wrote a Song for Everyone.' But while lyric videos have become a favorite fallback tactic for lazy record-label publicity departments, Fogerty's 'Mystic Highway' clip is actually fun to watch, with the words to the song brought to life over a series of animated images.

Like the album's other new song, 'Train of Fools,' 'Mystic Highway' highlights Fogerty as a solo performer rather than surrounding him with the special guests who crowd the rest of the record -- an impressive list that includes country superstar Miranda Lambert, Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, the members of Dawes and My Morning Jacket, and fellow rockers such as Bob Seger and Foo Fighters. The full-length set is scheduled to drop on May 28; in the meantime, enjoy this 'Mystic' ride.
