John Belushi – Pick of the Week
He would have been 69 years old today. But on March 25th, 1982 he died at age 33. His name - John Adam Belushi.
We first became aware of this talented man on on the NBC Network, Saturday Night Live. John was one of the original cast, and while I admire several cast members beyond the original, that first cast was, and will always be, my favorite.
John played so many memorable characters on SNL, both famous and fictional people. One of my favorite impersonations was when Joe Cocker was on the show, and Jim joined him on stage as a duet impersonation. Check it more on the story at Ultimate Classic Rock. Another was the Cheeseburger no Coke, Pepsi skit. How could you not laugh at that?
Animal House was a classic with the food fight, and of course, who can forget the Blues Brothers - Jake and Elwood Blues? Classic. We miss you John. Everybody Needs Somebody To Love.
