It's always hard to keep a secret, and we've been keeping this secret for so long that Doug Mosher and I have been bursting at the seams.

If you missed it, Doug Mosher will no longer be on the Whale Morning Show and it's not because we don't like him anymore. Doug won't be our morning guy anymore, because he's moving up into management (you know what those people are like), and will be working closely with all of our radio stations here at Townsquare Media Binghamton. We offer nothing but sincere congratulations to Doug, although we may rope him into doing a weekend show on the Whale.

With Doug moving to management, we needed a new morning show host and it just so happened that Jim Free, who is a veteran Binghamton area radio personality and an all around great guy was available. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that Jim would be a perfect fit for the Whale, and so we hired him. As they say, "the rest is history."

We are so proud to say that Jim Free and The Freezone is now on the Whale morning show weekdays from 5am to 10am, and you'll also be able to hear Jim every weekend from 7am to 12pm Saturdays.

If you missed hearing Jim on Binghamton radio, you've got him back. Finally! Tell all your friends and family, and welcome Jim to The Whale by giving him a call at 723-9996 or by e-mail at jim@991thewhale.com!

If you missed our on-air announcement naming Jim as our new morning host on the Whale, check out this video to see how we did it.
