Classic Rock Shuffle Thursday. What exactly is it?

Glad you asked! Many Whale listeners know what it is, because they've been listening for a long time, but as we get new listeners to The Whale each week, there many be some of you who are not familiar with this feature.

Basically, we let the studio computer take over the day, musically, shuffling up our tunes, much like a compact disc player does (or did). Are they a relic yet? I don't even have one in my home anymore. Anyway, this massive computer that takes up an entire room (OK, it just takes up a bit of space on a small shelf in the Whale Studio), is given the task of digging in to our massive A to Z Classic Rock music library every Thursday, picking out songs randomly to air on The Whale.

We do continue to take music requests during the Whale Diner at Noon and during the Drive at 5. Classic Rock Shuffle Thursday gives you some rarely heard gems, like Classic Rock from A to Z. That's your Whale lesson for the day. Let's shuffle!
