Yesterday at the Free Zone Bar and Grill in Endicott, AKA my basement, I had a bunch of friends over to watch both the AFC and NFC Championship Games. Let me start off by saying I dislike the Patriots. Actually, that's putting it mildly. Not only am I sick of them winning so much, but getting caught cheating many times the past, and one of their Super Bowl wins coming against the Eagles back in 2004, it has left a bad taste in my mouth. I would love to see the Pats go ten seasons without winning a game. But I digress, back to the championship Sunday. During the first game, everybody but one of my friends were rooting for Jacksonville. Everybody except for my one friend Diane, who just has to be different. I think she roots for the Patriots because she knows how much I hate them. She's actually a Dallas Cowboy fan. Go figure!. We cheered loudly when Jacksonville scored bitched when the Patriots took the lead late in the fourth quarter.

Then came the NFC Championship Game. The Vikings were favored over my Eagles even though the Eagles had home-field advantage. I've been saying since Carson Wentz got injured over a month ago, that I didn't think the Eagles would be able to win a playoff game, let alone clinch the bye the first week, beat the Falcons in the Divisional Round, and then beat Minnesota last night. I'm just as shocked as anyone else. The Eagles didn't just win the game last night, they won in convincing fashion. This sets up a rematch for the Eagles Vs The Patriots in the Super Bowl. Again, I'm not sure if the Eagles are up for the task, but if I could ask for just one wish, I would hope for the Eagles to win and for it to be the biggest blowout in Superbowl history. It's time for karma to show up and right the wrongs.

I can't wait for February 4th.
