This weekend, there are some huge events going on in our area, from NASCAR at Watkins Glen, to Spiedie Fest at Otsiningo Park. Here is this weeks list of what to do this weekend.

    Spiedie Fest

    The 33rd Annual Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally will take place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton.

    It opens at 3pm on Friday, with food, vendors, rides, entertainment and of course, the hot air balloons. Admission is free on Friday courtesy of Visions Federal Credit Union.

    Friday night at 7, Dennis Deyoung and the Music Of Styx will be on the main stage. You still need to buy a ticket to get into the concert area, or you can just stand outside the fence.

    Saturday, at 5 P.M., Blue Oyster Cult will perform on the Main Stage, Followed by Eddie Money at 6:30.

    Sunday is Country Concert Day.

    The Balloons should launch (weather permitting) at 7 A.M. Saturday and Sunday, and 6 P.M. All three days.

    NASCAR At The Glen

    The I Love New York 355 at the Glen, takes place at Watkins Glen International this Sunday. There is also the Zippo 200 on Sunday, and the NASCAR K&N Pro East Series Bully Hill Vineyards 100 on Friday.

  • Tioga County Fair

    The Tioga County Fair is going on this week at the Fairgrounds in Owego Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

    There will be food, rides, races, vendors and more.

    Meals On Wheels 5K Run/Walk

    Meals on Wheels of Western Broome will hold their 5/K Run and Walk at the Vestal Coal House, on the Rail Trail in Vestal this Saturday at 9 A.M. Cost is 25 dollars the day of the event and that includes a T-shirt.

    Money raised helps to feed the elderly in Broome County.
