Photo: Holly DaggerI went to go visit my sister Brittany in Texas recently and we spent the majority of our time in Austin. Austin happens to have the largest urban population of bats under the Congress Bridge over Town Lake in the middle of the city. Every night between mid March to November, people gather on the bridge to wait for the sun to set and watch the bats fly out from underneath the bridge.

There is an estimated 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats that live under the bridge and emerge as the sun sets. For more information visit the link. Enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think - cool or creepy?
