Today was the beginning of Restaurant Week and I ventured over to Remlik's for lunch. If you've never been out and about for Restaurant Week, I highly recommend it. There are a select amount of restaurants around downtown Binghamton who participate in this event offering $10 - 3 course lunches and $20 - 3 course dinners. For the full list of restaurants participating and what they are offering on their menus, click here.

For the first course of my meal, I got the Carrot Ginger soup which might sound odd but i was absolutely delicious! they claim they tried to write and 'R' on top of my soup but to me, it looked like the Playboy bunny....obviously you can take me out, but you can't exactly make me behave, even at Remlik's! My guest got the risotto croquettes which he described as his "favorite part of the meal."

For the second course, both myself and my guest ordered the pappardelle ala vodka. Some of you may notice, it comes with prosciutto which is a type of meat. I don't eat meat so they were kind enough to serve my dish sans meat. The sauce was thick and creamy with peas mixed in and topped with parsley. Delicious! And then came the baby....food baby that is.

Thankfully, the server offered me coffee as a substitute to dessert since I was way too full to ingest any more food into my belly. My guest got the beignet with caramel sauce which he had to take home because he was also too full!

The food and service at Remlik's were spectacular as always. Now if I could just get one of their staff members to roll me around for the rest of the day or at least burn off the calories I ate at the gym later, that would be lovely! A girl can dream...
