Bob Joseph/WNBF News [March 5, 2014][/caption]The third trial for a former Tioga County businessman, accused of murdering his estranged wife in 2001 is being delayed again.

Calvin Harris had been scheduled to be retried September 15 for the disappearance of Michele Harris.

The date had been pushed back to January 7 in Schoharie County Court to give Harris’ defense more time to prepare.

The proceedings have now been pushed back another two weeks with jury selection scheduled to start on January 21.

Cal Harris had been convicted twice of murder after being arrested in 2005.

The former car dealer had seen both of those convictions thrown out, one when a man who said he saw Michele alive after she had supposedly been killed stepped forward and the other on legal technicalities.

The latest trial has been placed in Schoharie County since it was determined that the publicity surrounding the case over the past 13 years made it impossible for an impartial jury to be seated in Tioga County.

Michele Harris was last seen on September 11, 2001.

Her body has never been found and a murder weapon has never been identified or recovered.
