Richard Starkey turns 75 Tuesday July 6th. Born in Liverpool, England in 1940, you know him as Ringo Starr from that popular band - The Beatles.

Ringo made his musical debut in the Eddie Clayton Skiffle Group in 1957. He was one of the co-founders. Next, it was the Rory Storm and the Hurricanes and then The Beatles as their second drummer, replacing Pete Best.

Mr. Starkey was well received as one of the Beatles, wrote some of the songs, got to star in a few movies, wrote a children's book - 'Otopus's Garden' and won many awards. After The Beatles, Ringo went solo, and as of this date, has recorded 18 albums. Album number 18 was released earlier this year - 'Postcards from Paradise.'
