April 22nd, 1950, Peter Kenneth Frampton was born in Bromley South London, England with a guitar in hand. OK, no guitar, as far as we know.

Then came the double album, 'Frampton Comes Alive' in 1976. This is where Peter Frampton became a household name.

At an early age, Peter taught himself to play the guitar and piano, but began his musical future learning how to play a Banjolele. He had formed a band before his teen years, and made friends with David Bowie, who attended the same school.

During his adult years, Peter spent time with Humble Pie and The Herd, before going solo. As a solo artist, he recorded 4 albums between 1972 and 1976 with little commercial success. Then came the double album, 'Frampton Comes Alive' in 1976. This is where Peter Frampton became a household name. Hits include 'Baby, I Love Your Way', 'Show Me The Way' and 'Do You Feel Like We Do' with that famous Talk Box guitar effect. 'Frampton Comes Alive' went to number one on the US and Canadian charts, and number 6 on the UK album chart.

Take a moment and enjoy Peter Frampton performing 'Do You Feel Like We Do' from a 1975 Midnight Special show, being introduced by...Helen Reddy. Happy Birthday Peter!
