Ah Summertime. It's my favorite time of the year. I love everything about Summer. Well, almost everything. Mosquitos and Ticks are two things I could do without.

One fun thing about Summertime is barbecuing. And with that, there are some ways to make it safe according to the New York Propane Gas Association.

Some tips from the New York Propane Gas Association:

Proper Ventilation - including keeping the lid open when you light the grill, make sure it's in a well-ventilated outdoor area and at least ten feet away from any structure and three feet or more from any shrubs or trees.

Lighting the Grill - do not use matches or lighters to check for leaks. Do not use starter fluid on propane grills and do not smoke while handling a propane cylinder.

Safety: Do not leave a hot grill unattended, and if you smell gas, turn off the cylinder valve, but only if it's safe to do so.

These are just a few tips. For more information, visit Proudly Propane or New York Propane Gas Association, and have a safe, fun and delicious barbecue!
