Gregg Allman's crew tour bus crashed in West Virginia this morning, though the singer himself was uninjured. A concert set for tonight at the Clay Center in Charleston will go on as planned, promoter Ken Weinstein told WSAZ.

Three members of Allman's crew were taken to Charleston's CAMC General Hospital with minor injuries, but they were released shortly afterward. At least one northbound lane of Interstate 77 remained closed this morning at Goldtown, W.V.

Ten people were on board the bus, which was traveling with another, when the driver apparently began choking. He then crossed the southbound lanes into oncoming traffic before going through a guardrail and down an embankment, Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies told WSAZ.

Crews on the scene said Allman's crew bus was within feet of a nearby creek. The injured included a production manager, a monitor engineer and an audio technician, according to WOWK.

Music equipment needed for tonight's show at Charleston was being offloaded by sound engineers. Allman is also slated to perform in Kentucky and Virginia this week, part of a tour that includes future co-headlining dates with Peter Frampton and then later with ZZ Top.

Allman released the solo concert recording Live: Back to Macon, GA in August, after participating in the Allman Brothers Band's emotional final tour in 2014. He and Frampton joined Lynyrd Skynyrd on One More for the Fans last summer, as well.
