St. Patrick's month, yes month, kicks off this weekend in Syracuse as the green beer begins to flow generously.

"Green Beer Sunday" takes place February 24 in and around Coleman's Authentic Irish Pub 110 S. Lowell St. in the Tipperary Hill neighborhood of Syracuse.

The controlled chaos tips off at noon with a parade of drum and pipe bands. The main event is the arrival of the tanker trucks full of green beer "imported from the Emerald Isle."

With green beer now comes green cider. So there is something for everyone this Sunday.

There will also be a brand new green cocktail this year! The Loaded Leprechaun combines 1911 Cold Brew Coffee Vodka with Byrne Dairy's mint flavored green milk, topped with whipped cream.

"Green Beer Sunday" has been a tradition at Coleman's since the 1960's, because the owner never got to enjoy March 17 himself.
