Spring is here and so is spring time shopping at area farmers markets.  They are literally everywhere, you just have to find them.

Downtown Binghamton has a farmers market on Collier Street on Tuesdays and Fridays at lunch time. There's another one in the City of Binghamton at Otseningo Park on Saturdays as well. Fresh veggies, free range poultry and eggs, plus some organic foods and meats can be found there as well.

American Legion Post 80 will also soon be opening their farmers market on Thursdays from 11am to 6pm. You can find a fine farmers market at the Vestal Library parking lot on route 434. Johnson City has theirs at the corner of Main and Lester Avenue.

There's another one opening soon on route 11 in Whitney Point. Greene's, Guilfords and Norwich's Farmers Markets run Saturdays too.

If you are looking for fresh veggies, it's not quite the season for that yet. But you can now find maple products, jams, jellies, pickles, salsas, home baked items and more. Each week the items change, so make sure you visit a farmers market near you, often.
