After an absence of a few years, an air show has been scheduled in Broome County.

This year's Greater Binghamton Air Show is to be held at the airport in the town of Maine on Saturday, June 23.

The event is receiving a big boost through the sponsorship of Tioga Downs Casino Resort.

The show will feature performances by the United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and the United State Air Force A-10 Demonstration Team.

Aerobatic, formation and single-team aircraft performances also are planned.

Performances during the one-day show are scheduled to take place between noon and 4 p.m. Gates at the airport are to open at 10 a.m.

Ticket and parking information, along with more details about the performers and displays at the show, will be announced in the weeks ahead.

The cost to attend the show has not been announced. More information will be posted on the event website.

The last Greater Binghamton Air Show in 2014 drew an estimated 12,000 people to the airport.
