Buddy Holly left us with a lot of great songs in his short life of 22 years, including this song from 1958 that never charted for the band.

Linda Ronstadt had a top 5 hit with her 1977 cover version.

The song was written by Buddy Holly and Norman Petty, in 2011 a tribute album titled “Rave On Buddy Holly’ was released featuring various musicians doing covers of some of Buddy Holly songs.

Paul McCartney owned the publishing rights to the Buddy Holly collection at that time, so he lent his talents to one of the songs on the album.
