The Big Blue Defense came up big and shut down the Cincinnati offense as the Giants defeated the Bengals 21-20 last night.

The Giants gained 122 yards on the ground, that included a 25 yard run on the final possession of the game, allowing them to run out the clock.

Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes, the last one on a gutsy call from Coach McAdoo on a 4th and goal.

The Giants defense held Andy Dalton and the Bengal offense to 186 yards passing and 78 yards on the ground.

It was another Giants game that went right down to the wire, but the more I watch other teams compete against each other, it seems like the games are a lot closer than they use to be.

The win puts the Giants at 6-3, two games behind the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East, but very much in the playoff scenario at this point.

I think the defense had improved a great deal, they just need to get the offensive line in sync and open some lanes for a running game while giving Eli Manning some time to find his receivers.

The Giants continue their homestand as they host the 2-6 Chicago Bears at Met Life Stadium on Sunday.
