The New York Giants went into the 4th quarter with the lead for the third game in a row, and this time they came out with a 32-21 win over the Washington Redskins.

Coach Tom Coughlin challenged his team to finish the game. Despite a 100 yard run kick off return by the Redskins late in the game, the Giants got their first win of the season!

I thought the defense played very good, considering all the injuries and the loss of their best pass rusher JPP. They held the number one rushing offense to just 88 yards on the ground.

The lack of pass rush gave Kirk Cousins ample time to find open receivers, and that is the big weakness in the Giants D.

Eli Manning (23 of 32 for 279 yards) was patience and poised hitting some big passes to Odell Beckham Jr. And Rueben Randle.

I thought the Giants rushing game was mediocre with only 84 yards on the ground. The team is still banged up and hopefully they will be able to get star player Victor Cruz back, along with some of their defensive talent.

The good news is we're only one game out of first place in the NFC East with 13 games remaining and Dallas and Philadelphia missing key players. It should be an interesting year for Giant fans.

The team will get a chance to rest and get ready for a big game in Buffalo on October 4th.
