The Giants will start the 2016 NFL season with an NFC match up in Dallas to take on the Cowboys, coverage begins Sunday at 3:25pm on 991 The Whale.

Sunday will bring the excitement of the brand new NFL season, but it will always reflect to one of the worst tragedies in our nation's history on 9-11.

The New York Giants have a lot of new faces this year as they underwent an upgrade in many of the key positions that hurt them last year.

The Giants defense looks to be the most improved this year and I think they will be able to put enough pressure on quarterbacks this season to cause some hurried throws resulting in interceptions, and QB sacks to cause some fumbles.

The Giants offensive line is once again an area in question and I think that is one of the things that frustrates me the  most .

The Giants O line has been decimated with injuries and lack luster performances from some of the players, and when you can't give your quarterback some time to find an open receiver, or push the defense out of position to create holes in the line for a running game, you're screwed.

That's been the case for the Giants the last 4 years.

The Giants need to be able to score points and keep the other guys from scoring more.

Alright most Giants fans would  like to see them stomp the Cowboys into the turf  on Sunday, but I'll be satisfied with a solid performance and a win.

The Cowboys have a rookie quarterback Dak Prescott and a rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott, the Giants need to impose their will on these guys quick by scoring points.

I think the defense will do a good job, but Eli and the offense need to score touchdowns.

I didn't get a lot of the preseason games so this is going to be the first chance for many of us to see what the new team chemistry will do.

This should be a good game, mostly because they hate each other, look for the usual follies and flukes, Dallas has won the last five season openers, it's time for a change.

Catch all the action Sunday afternoon at 3:25pm, and keep it here after the game for coach McAdoo's press conference and team interviews on your station for NY Giants Football, 99.1 The Whale.

Go Giants!
