The New York Giants will host the New Orleans Saints in their home opener at Met Life Stadium this Sunday, coverage begins at Noon on 991 The Whale.

These two teams met last November in the big easy and combined for 13 touchdowns and a total of 101 points, the Giants lost the game 52-49 on a last minute field goal by the Saints.

New Orleans high octane offense led by veteran quarterback Drew Brees will be a challenge, so the Giants need to keep their offense on the field and score points, and that means keeping the drives going and converting on third downs.

Giants analysts say Drew Brees is a short quarterback, so the defense needs to keep their hands up and block his passing lanes and line of sight.

A lot of money has been structured into this Giant defense, so these guys need to step it up, and hopefully having the home crowd as the 12th man this weekend will supercharge these players to perform well.

Quarterback Drew Brees is in his 16th year and shows no signs of slowing down, the Saints had 507 yards of total offense last week and that can't happen on Sunday.

I think it will be a high scoring game, but I am hopeful the Giants defense will cause some turnovers and stalled drives.

Catch all the action with Bob Papa and company starting with the Pre-Game show on Sunday at 12 Noon and keep it here after the game for head coach Ben McAdoo's press conference and team interviews on your station for NY Giants Football 991 the whale.

Go Giants!
