1971, I was a sophomore in high school. Just under two years had passed since the breakup of The Beatles. While we were sad about that fact, little did we know at the time, that many great songs would come from the Fab Four as solo artists.

December of 1971, George Harrison had achieved something the other members of The Beatles had not. That feat was reaching the number one slot on the US singles chart. The song was My Sweet Lord.

The song also achieved the number one position on many singles charts around the world, including the UK, Canada, France, Germany, and Austraila. My Sweet Lord is featured on Harrison's 'All Things Must Pass' album.

For this week's Classic Rock Pick, take a moment and travel back to 1971 to enjoy George Harrison's My Sweet Lord.
