Flood relief supplies and other assistance are being made available at a Broome County distribution site.

The county and the American Red Cross are coordinating the project at the Five Mile Point Fire Company on Crescent Drive in Kirkwood.

Free clean-up kits and other flood relief supplies will be available Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Disaster health and mental health services, food and recovery information also will be available.

Volunteers also will be at the site from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday and Monday to provide recovery information, food and other support for people who were affected by the flooding.

Many sections of Broome and surrounding counties sustained damage from flash floods after periods of very heavy rain.

Portions of Binghamton, Vestal, Conklin and Kirkwood were among the hardest hit areas in Broome County.
