Football or Sleep?
I used to love Monday Night Football. It was awesome staying up late to watch two teams battle it out on the prime-time stage. I would even go out and host Monday Night Football at local bars. Then came Sunday Night Football. Again, it’s the only game happening at that point of the day, so it’s available for a national audience. Then the NFL started doing Thursday Night Football. I think it’s cool that we have another night of football action until it’s your team. I prefer when the Eagles play at one o’clock on Sunday. I can watch the whole game and then go to bed later that night, not having to stay up and see if my team wins or loses. Years ago I would stay up late and watch every game, but now that my alarm goes off at 3:30 in the morning, I find that nearly impossible.
So tonight my beloved Philadelphia Eagles will be playing the Carolina Panthers. The game starts at 8:25 and will probably end sometime around 11:30. I guess I’m going to have to go home and take a nap after work, and hope I can fall asleep after the game.
If I sound half asleep tomorrow morning, you’ll know why.
