Food of Oktoberfest
We’ve been telling you about our Parlor City Oktoberfest for months now and it is coming up this Saturday at Mountain Top Grove in Vestal. Pat from Mountain Top Grove brought a sample of the food that is going to be served at Oktoberfest this weekend and it was out of this world. We had some Sauerbraten which is roast beef with gravy cooked German style, we had Konigsberg Klasop, which are basically meatballs with capers and sour cream sauce, (I could eat a whole tray of those myself) and last but not least, slow roasted smoked pork with barbecue sauce served on a pretzel roll. Not only was the pork some of the best barbecue pork I’ve ever had, but the pretzel roll was hands down the best one I ever had.
There will also be Spatzle, Pierogis, and hot German Potato Salad, and deserts.
There will also be the Childers’s activity area with face painting, a bouncy house, the Ross Park Zoo Mobile, and a bunch of activities too. Kids under 13 are free.
There will also be Oktoberfest Themed Contest including; Miss Oktoberfest, Best Dressed man and woman, and the Stein Holding Contest.
This is the party of the fall so don’t miss it. Click below…for more information and to buy tickets.
