Unbelievable. That's how I describe the efforts so far with our community stepping up and dropping off non-perishable food for our annual Food-A-Bago Food Drive for Broome County CHOW. And that's a good thing!

Last year was one of the best, if not thee best year we've had as far as food and monetary donations were raised to help families in Broome County. This year, I think we are on track to beat last year.

Keep in mind, it's not really a goal of a certain amount of food or money donations we seek. It's how much can we get to help out those in need. Many people don't know how big the need for food is. That need can come from any reason. A medical issue in the family that results in major bills, a loss of a job, or any other unfortunate issue that arises unexpectedly, causing you to make a decision - purchase food or pay the rent, medical bills, etc.

So here we are - just over 2 days left for food and monetary donations. We need your help. Stop by our Hillcrest RV camper in the Weis Food Market parking lot at 1290 Upper Front Street Binghamton and give what you can. If it's just one food item, you've made a difference. If it's one dollar, you've je;lped Broome County CHOW buy four meals.

We are in the camper from 8am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday, 6 to 9 am on Monday November 12th. After hours, we have barrels next to the camper to drop off your non-perishable food items or stop b Gary's U-Pull It on Colesville Road, Binghamton. They also have food barrels.

Thanks again. Year after year, your help is always greatly appreciated. More than you know.
