And we're off. Weis Food Market on Upper Front Street, Binghamton cleared some space for us, Hillcrest RV setup up the camper in the parking lot, we set up everything to begin the 8 day food drive, and now we wait for you to stop by!

For 17 years, we've been asking Whale listeners to help families in our county County through Broome County C.H.O.W. by stopping by our camper and filling it up with non-perishable food items.

The need is always there, and we're proud that people like you are there to help, even if you can only donate one food item. Believe me , it adds up, and goes a long way. If you prefer, we can also accept cash and checks (make checks out to 'Music For The Mission'). That money goes along way when Broome COunty C.H.O.W. purchases food with it.

Day One is already off to a good start despite the bad weather, but we have a lot of room and plenty of cupboards to fill over the next 7 days. And if the camper fills up before we're done on Monday morning at 10am, we'll have Broome County C.H.O.W. stop by, empty the camper out and fill it up again!

This year, we are bringing back the Grocery Cart Challenge. This is where we encourage businesses to stop by with a grocery cart full of non-perishable food to the camper and challenge any competitors or business friends to do the same. See the video below for details on how it works.

We are in the camper Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 8pm and Monday November 6th from 6am to 10am. We have C.H.O.W barrels outside the camper if you just want to drop food into, and there is a barrel set up at Gary's U-Pull It on Colesville Road, Binghamton, if that's more convenient for you.
