Awesome! Food-A-Bago 2016 turned out great, and it's all because of our community helping to support families in need from Broome County.

Mike Leahey, Broome County CHOW Director, phoned me yesterday with the results.
Basically, enough food and monetary donations came in to create about 11,720 meals.
Our goal was 10,000 meals, so you helped us crush it!

Mike reported the total weight was around 7,907 pounds. That beat our amount least year, and an additional 1,358 pounds of food was dropped off at other local Weis Markets.

So, we are more than proud of our community for stepping up again this year, as has been the case for the past 15 years of Food-A-Bago. Did you know Broome County CHOW provides over one million meals to individuals and families every year?

That's why we do this. Every item or monetary donation goes a long way. Thanks again to everyone who stopped by to visit with us and dropped off food, our sponsor - Fidelis Care, Hillcrest RV for providing us a camper to collect the food (and a warm, dry place to broadcast from), and Weis Food Markets for allowing us to set up in the parking lot on Upper Front Street, Binghamton.

We look forward to our 17th year in November 2017!
