Fire Victim is Still Unidentified

Officials say they are still waiting for DNA and other test results to come back to positively identify the person killed in the fire at the Skylark Motel early March 14.

Several news organizations have been reporting, however, that it is believed the victim may have been the owner of the business off the Vestal Parkway.

The fire was heaviest in the front part of the 60 year old motel.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

There were apparently over a half dozen people staying at the Motel when the two-alarm fire was reported at 4 a.m.
