If you live in Northeastern America, you have walked on your share of ice covered pathways, the biggest fear is falling and injuring ourselves.

Slipping and falling are more common during the winter months so always be on the lookout for ice and slippery snow when walking.

First you should always avoid wearing shoes-boots that are smooth on the bottom, also no high heels.

You should wear boots or other footwear that has traction to help reduce your chances of slipping.

Always use caution when getting out of your vehicle and use the car for support when stepping onto the pavement.

Always look ahead when you walk and if you find yourself slipping and losing your balance tuck your self into a ball to avoid hitting your head and face.

If you find your self walking through an icy path way, walk like a Penguin.
