If someone would have told me back before the computer age that we would be posting photos and all kinds of personal information on a site where the whole world could see it, I would have thought they were nuts.

Since it’s inception on February 4, 2004, the Facebook revolution has augmented our social lives by allowing us to share pictures, videos, and personal thoughts with our family and friends all over the planet.

Facebook also gives businesses the ability to provide information about themselves and can create events and organizational pages to increase awareness.

In September of 2012 there were over a billion Facebook users.

I know a lot of people get annoyed with over sharers, dramatic posts, and those annoying selfies, but personally I enjoy most of the posts in my threads. I can see what my cousins, aunts and uncles, friends and other family members are doing in their day to day lives. It really makes me feel closer to them, and gives me the chance to converse and share our lives!

One of the many options Facebook provides us is the ability to block people out, so if you are annoyed past the point of rescue with a Facebook friend, block them!

I love this new age of social media and can’t wait to see what’s next!
