Since it’s inception on February 4, 2004, the Facebook revolution has augmented our social lives by allowing us to share pictures, videos, and personal thoughts with our family and friends all over the planet.

If someone would have told me back before the computer age that we would be posting photos and all kinds of personal information on a site where the whole world could see it, I would have thought they were nuts.

Face book also gives businesses the ability to provide information about them and we can create events and organizational pages to increase awareness.

In September of 2012 there were over a billion Facebook users, as of this past spring 1.65 billion people are active on Facebook.

310 million people are active on Twitter, and Instagram has reached over 100 million and continues to grow.
I know a lot of people get annoyed with over posters, dramatic posts and those annoying selfies, personally I enjoy most of the posts in my threads, I can see what my cousins, aunts and uncles, friends and other family members are doing in their day to day lives, it really makes me feel closer to them, and gives me the chance to converse and share my life with them.

One of the many options face book provides us is the ability to block people out, so if you are annoyed past the point of rescue with a FB friend, block them out

I love this new age of social media, can’t wait to see what’s next.
