F-RIDE-Day! Your Weekend Motorcycle Events Update

As fall closes in, we need to take full advantage of the perfect bike weather. Luckily, there are some fun and cause-worthy rides you can take part in this weekend.

Let’s break ‘em down for you:

The Bad Dogs 4th annual Benefit Run is tomorrow and proceeds go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. It starts at PJ O’Hare’s off Route 92 in Oakland, PA with registration at 10 am and kickstands up at noon. When you get back, there will be a pig roast, raffles and more! It’s $20 per person.

Also tomorrow, the American Legion Riders Post 1700 in West Endicott are holding the 1st annual Dominick Torto Memorial Rode at the Post. Registration is 9 to 11:30 am and kickstands up at noon.  Barbecue and music follow the ride. Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House and the Down Syndrome Information Network of the Southern Tier.Cost is $20 per bike. All vehicles are welcome!

Tomorrow also features the Bucket Brigade Ride to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. it’s sponsored by the Red Knights NY 42 and takes place at the bath Volunteer Fire department on Morris Street. Registration is 8;30 to 10 am with kickstands up at 10:30. The ride ends at Hammondsport Fire Department with live music, food and drinks, a custom bike contest and more. It’s $15/driver and $5/rider.

Champion Speedway’s (Owego) Bike Night is tomorrow night with gates opening at 5:15 and races at 7. Half off admission if you ride in! Includes the Kelly Moran Memorial Race with “dash for cash” and bike games and bike show. Live music from Distant Thunder too.

Up in Norwich, the 5th annual Norwich YMCA Open Doors Scholarship Program Ride is on Sunday at the YMCA. Registration is at 10 am with kickstands up at 11:30 am. The ride is about 80 miles and includes lunch, door prizes, raffles and more. $20 per rider/ $10 per passenger.

The 1st annual Allie’s Angel Ride is Sunday at Hickories Park in Owego. It’s not only a 5k run/walk, and bicycle ride, but a motorcycle ride as well! Proceeds benefit underprivileged children of the Southern Tier and Whitney Point Preschool and Daycare.Registration is at 8 am and the event kicks off at 9 am. Ride is $20 per rider/$15 passenger.

The annual Binghamton HOG Club Christmas for Kids Ride is Sunday! Registration is from 9 to 10:45 am at Southern Tier Harley Davidson, with kickstands up at 11. The ride is to Tioga Downs. $10 per person. the first 200 paid participants get a $5 free play and $5 food voucher.
