Every Dog’s Dream and International Homeless Animal Day

We love our dogs here at the Whale. And as a rescued dog owner I love the Southern Tier for having people great enough to start organizations like Every Dog's Dream.

They are dedicated to keeping homeless dogs safe until a fur-ever home can be found. It is tireless, emotional work. This weekend is International Homeless Animal Day and they are marking the day with an event to honor and celebrate the families who have adopted animals from their rescue over the last year.

It is from 11 am to 3 pm at the Petco on Harry l. Drive near Toys R Us. Of course, they will have a cookout with hamburgers and hot dogs, salads, soda, ice cream and more!

They will be holding demonstrations on how to approach dogs and Lily the dog will show off her skills. This brave dog came to Every Dog's Dream after an accident took one of her legs.

There will be games, prizes and even goodies for your pups too.There is nothing like the company of good people and good pets to put you in a good mood!
