The Greene Central School Footlights Drama Club is proud to announce its upcoming performances of the musical, The Lion King Jr. Performances will be held Friday and Saturday, November 10th and 11th at 7:00 PM and Sunday, November 12th at 3:00 PM. Please come out and show your support for the GCS Footlights cast of 90+ students as they transform the Greene High School Auditorium into the Pridelands of the Serengeti. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for students and senior citizens (children 4 and under are free). Tickets will also be available at the door.

The Lion King Jr. is a family friendly Disney story that is sure to entertain. Whether you know every line and song by heart or it’s your first time, you’ll love this performance by the talented Footlights Drama Club. The set, costumes, and performances of familiar characters including; Mufasa, Simba, Scar, Sarabi, Nala, Zazu, Rafiki, Timon, and Pumba, will captivate you as the struggle for survival and control of the Pridelands unfolds.

You probably know that “Hakuna Matata” means No Worries, but do you know what “Nants’ ingonyama, bakithi babo.” means? Come visit Pride Rock, learn about the Circle of Life, enjoy a spirited Meerkat/Warthog hula dance, and find out.
