Nordic walking combines normal walking with core and upper body conditioning to produce a full-body workout. Walking is accompanied by the use of nordic poles, similar to cross country ski poles. Thirty percent more calories can be burned by walking with poles. Plus, the muscles you use are great for your posture. Come try it! Limited to first 15. Poles provided. All fitness levels welcome. Wear comfortable clothes you can exercise in and athletic footwear. Bring water. Meet in front of the Rec Center.
