Endicott’s North Street is Getting a Makeover
One of the busiest streets in the village of Endicott is receiving some much-needed attention.
North Street is to be resurfaced between Vestal and McKinley avenues.
Crews from G. DeVincentis and Son Construction of Binghamton began work on new sidewalks and curbs where they were in need of replacement.
Workers this week have been focusing on the area near the Huron Campus, just west of McKinley Avenue.
Village engineer Kent Rapp said crews from NYSEG have been replacing sections of natural gas lines as part of the project.
Crews from the village street department have been making repairs to catch basins.
In the next few weeks, the street will be milled and repaved by village workers.
Traffic is being maintained through the work zone, although drivers will encounter lane closures at times.
Rapp said the project is progressing, although the recent heavy rains have affected some of the work.
