Eclectic Rock Pick of the Week: The Cult

I love this band and I haven't even heard a lot of them honestly but I am a little obsessed with their song "Fire Woman." I often argue with Don Morgan about the fact that I think they should be on our station....a little help on this please?

The Cult has been around since 1981, but didn't officially form until 1983. Due to alcohol related problems and inner band tensions, there has been many lineup changes with the exception of vocalist Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy, both of whom write the bands songs.This band is all rock. You can hear a little Led Zeppelin in there as well as metal and post punk goth rock. Listen to "Fire Woman" below and try to tell me it does not belong on 99.1 The Whale!
