Eclectic Rock Pick of the Week: Tenacious D

Tenacious D is a comedy rock duo featuring Jack Black and Kyle Gass. They have released three studio albums, the latest being 2012's Rize of the Fenix.

The group gained notoriety when they starred in a television series in 1999 and started to open for big rock acts. From there they released their first album which produced their most popular track to date "Tribute" which you can view below.

The second album was also released with their movie Pick of Destiny which tell the fictitious story about how the two members met, formed a band and go on an adventure to find the said pick of destiny.

I personally love this group. They are talented and hilarious at the same time. Obviously not as brilliant as Frank Zappa but Zappa did use the same idea in many of his songs- pure musical talent along with amusing and comical lyrics.
