moe. formed in 1989 as an American Jam band and developed a loyal following. Much like Grateful Dead fans call themselves "Deadheads," moe. fans call themselves "moe.rons."

The band started when three colleagues, Chuck Garvey, Rob Derhak and Ray Schwartz were asked to play a Halloween party together. They later added Dave Kessler and Steve Hunter and started to call themselves "Five guys named Moe."

After a few lineup changes, the band shortened their name to moe and added the period to the end in 1991. To date, they have released ten studio albums and ten live albums. moe. is a frequent guest at festivals and has their own festival, moe.down on Labor weekend in Turin, New York which attracts new emerging bands such as Tea Leaf Green as well as some standards on the scene such as The Allman Brothers and Les Claypool.

Let me know what you think of their songs "Rebubula Part 1" and  "Rebubula Part 2" below!
