Eclectic Rock Pick of the Week: Maylene and the Sons of Disaster

Think Southern Rock and Heavy Metal giving birth to a child and you have Maylene and the Sons of Disaster! I was fortunate to meet and see these gentlemen perform in Syracuse a couple of years ago and they sound just as good live as they do on their albums. If your a fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Metallica, this is the perfect mix for you. The group formed in 2004 and has not stopped since. They got singed to a label in 2005, switched to Ferret Records in 2007 and have produced four studio albums and two ep's in their short career. Their last album was released in September 2011 and produced by Brian Virtue and Rob Graves.
