Since I did my album review on Fall Out Boy this week, I figured I would tie it into your rock pick. If you've never heard of the band, they are a very catchy pop punk kind of group that thrives on dramatic social situations in their lyrics. Dramatic but relate-able I should say.

'Save Rock and Roll' is their fifth studio album which comes after their hiatus in 2009. The four piece main composer is vocalist/guitarist Patrick Stump and the primary lyricist falls credit to bass player Pete Wentz. It is quite obvious that their chemistry is something to reckon with.

Promising several tunes that are sure to stick in your head, I think for the most part, Fall Out Boy gave us exactly what we would expect of them. I mean that in a sincerely good way.

"The Phoenix," single "My Songs Know What You Did" and "Where Did the Party Go" strike me as particularly catchy and in tune with our classic favorites "Sugar We're Going Down Swinging" and "Dance Dance."Below I gave you a bit of the old and a bit of the new. Let me know what you think if you've never heard the band before do you like them? If you have, what do you think of their new album?
