Thirty Seconds to Mars formed in 1998 in Los Angeles as a family project between actor Jared Leto and his brother Shannon Leto. They enlisted the support of Tomo Milicevic to round out the band's final lineup after several other trial members.

Jared Leto refuses to play at any venues that attempt to use his name as an actor to promote the band and is very adamant about keeping them separate. They have toured with Linkin Park, The Used, Head Automatica and Cobra Starship.

The band has four albums under their belt, the latest was released this year, Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams. The single below, 'Up in the Air' is off their final album and is currently on rock radio.
