This morning I found a Strange But True story on a about a driver-less shuttle in Las Vegas, that was involved in an accident. The shuttle was in its first hour of service when it was struck by another vehicle. Jalopnik reported that an AAA spokesman said it was not the shuttles fault. The damage was minimal and no one was hurt.

I know the technology is out there. Tesla cars are self-driving and with cars that can parallel park themselves, it won't be long before we won't need to drive our vehicles. I don't know if I'm ready for that yet. I have a hard time sleeping in a car because I am not in control of the car and there are a lot of people that I don't even like driving with because of the way they drive, and the fact that I am not in control of the car.

I don't know if I can find it in myself to climb into a vehicle that will let a computer control its movements without anyone there to grab a steering wheel just in case. How about you, would you trust it?
