1976. It's a few years back, and I'm trying to remember what was going on in my life that year. If my memory is correct, I was in my 3rd year of college at a 2 year community college. Yes, I spent more time in the campus radio station than in class.

I also remember that Aerosmith re-released a song that came from their debut album in 1973. That song was Dream On. The first time around, the tune did well in Aerosmith's native Boston, but didn't crack the US Top 40 singles charts.

In 1976, Aerosmith came out with the album version, and did much better, peaking at the number 6 position. The song, written by Steven Tyler, remains one of Classic Rock's most popular songs. Dream On was the number 3 song on The Whale's 2015 Memorial Day 500, behind Sweet Emotion and the number one song, Sweet Home Alabama.

For this week's Classic Rock Pick, take a moment to enjoy Aerosmith performing Dream On at Woodstock '94.
