Doug’s Video Flashback Remembering California Jam 2

Where were you March 18, 1978? I was here along with a quarter of a million people at Ontario Motor Speedway just outside LA. for California Jam 2.

I was stationed in San Diego while serving in the NAVY, a shipmate of mine had told me about this concert that was supposed to be like Woodstock with the biggest rock bands of that era, Aerosmith, Foreigner, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Ted Nugent, Santana  and many others. My brother Mike had come out for a visit so I bought tickets.

The first night we slept in the parking area, only to awaken at the base of a huge mountain (I called it the Paramount Studio mountain) and a swarm of people as far as the eye could see.

This is my “biggest concert I’ve ever attended’ story.
