Doug's Take on Terminator Genisys

Last weekend, I went to see the latest chapter in the terminator franchise, 'Terminator Genisys'. It's definitely a film worth seeing!

I have been a fan of post apocalyptic films my whole life, so I had been waiting for this movie for months.

If the last Terminator movie left a bad taste in your mouth, you're not alone. I thought both Terminator 3 and Terminator Salvation stunk, but was hopeful that this new version would bring back the action and great storyline of the first two.

There are new faces in this version including Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, and the old guy from the Farmers Insurance commercials, JK Simmons.

The real hero of the movie however was none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. He reprises his role as the aging terminator who went back in time to a 9-year-old Sarah Connor to prepared her for the 1984 confrontation with the terminator that was being sent back to kill her.

I was thinking how can a 67-year-old Arnold still play this part. I was impressed with the way the writers and directors pulled this off.
