The New York Knicks have played 16 games this year without Carmello Anthony, and with last night's 115-94 loss to the Boston Celtics, they're a perfect 0 and 16.The team has let several of their big scoring threats go including, JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Pablo Pregioni.

Carmello Anthony was averaging 24 points a game and now he's gone for the rest of this season. So the question remains, which players are going to step up and provide the offense the Knicks will need, to be competitive for the rest of the season?

I thought Andrea Bargnani started off strong last night. Here's a guy who has missed 60% of the regular season games since coming to New York, when he's healthy he can score points.

Three players, Lou Amundson, Jason Smith, and Langston Galloway,  had 14 points each, and the Knicks actually had the lead, with about 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. That's when the offense disappeared and they missed 10 straight shots. Boston scored 20 unanswered points after that and it was game over.

Coach Derek Fisher said this group has to compete and so far it's been feast or famine.

I think I speak for most of the Knicks fans, when I say, win or lose, we just want to see some good competitive games from here out.

Come on Knicks!
